RE: Texas Department of Health Permits
The Texas Department of Health has notified the Zapata County Fair Association that all food and beverage vendors will be inspected during this year’s three day event. All permits must be up to date and all rules and regulations must be followed, or citation(s) will be issued.
The following is a general checklist:
- Hairnets or Caps
- No Sleeveless shirts or blouses
- Food handlers gloves must be worn
- Perishable food must be cooled at proper temperature
- All workers must have proper wash up stands
- All food must be covered and stored properly
- All preparation areas must be clean and utensils must be washed when changing from one food to another
